ABOUT BOB SAWICKI
Bob Sawicki is Principal and Founder of Pier 27 Executive Coaching and Talent Consulting LLC.
Bob’s career spans senior roles in talent management, organization development, professional development and strategic initiatives in multiple global industries including financial services, health care and manufacturing. His experience includes coaching senior executives and teams, as well as designing and leading senior leadership offsites and executive team sessions.
Prior to launching Pier 27, Bob was Senior Vice President, Head of Talent at Global Atlantic, a KKR life, annuity and reinsurance company with over $100 billion in assets. Prior to Global Atlantic, Bob was SVP, Talent Management at Magellan Health Services, a $10B specialty health care company. In addition to building out and integrating talent functions, he also led culture change initiatives focused on future workplaces and innovation.
Bob served as Vice President, Leadership and Professional Development at The Hartford, where he won a Chairman's Award and HR Excellence Award for establishing an enterprise-wide leadership development strategy. As AVP, Strategic Initiatives and Innovation at The Hartford, he established an Innovation team and practice, focused on maximizing resources, eliminating unnecessary expenses, strategic planning and priority setting.
At United Technologies, including Otis Elevator and Pratt & Whitney, Bob earned an Otis Globe Award for his social responsibility and team-building work in South Africa and has worked with leadership teams in countries such as China, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom and South Africa, focused on leadership, work teams, and customer-centric strategies.
Bob has an MBA from the University of Connecticut, and a B.S. in Marketing from St. John's University in New York. Bob is a certified coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and is certified in Hogan assessments. He completed Six Sigma Black Belt training as well as other certifications in coaching, assessment, change leadership and strategic organization design. Over multiple years, Bob has served as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Connecticut Executive MBA Program, designing and teaching courses in Leadership, Human Capital, and Strategic Fit and Coordination. He has served as a board member for the Human Resources Leadership Forum of Southern New England.
Bob’s articles have appeared in Talent Management magazine and HR Pulse. His clients include Global Atlantic/KKR, Sixth Street, Symmetry Energy, Schonfeld, COCC and Access Health.
A native New Yorker and frequent traveler, Bob now resides in Avon, CT.
