ABOUT PIER 27
WHY PIER 27?
We all have a destination point we want to move toward: it could be a desire for better results, a higher performing business team, achievement, resilience, contentment, or clarity.
In other words, “I’m here, and I want to get there.”
A pier is a metaphorical launching point, one where you can see possibilities on the horizon, and with a more specific goal, and a well thought-out approach to get there, you’re more likely to arrive intact, or get closer than you are today. Pier 27 Executive Coaching and Talent Consulting was launched to help you clarify these goals and develop a practical set of actions for you or your team to put in motion.
The number 27 is a nod to Bob’s parents and upbringing. His parents both served in the US Navy; his dad was a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who became an engineer and inventor. His mom served in the WAVES - Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service. Together they raised nine kids in New York City: 2 girls and 7 boys, and the number 27 has figured prominently in their family history.
Bob’s life and career, including raising three incredible daughters with his wife Marianne, has always been about helping others to get better at what they do. Whether it be with a new joint venture team in Chengdu, China, team building in South Africa, developing a better approach to customers in the UK, or developing award-winning leadership development programs in the US, Bob’s coaching has helped hundreds of successful people and teams get to that better place.
